At present the plans are for a partial rebuild of the school where old and outdated buildings on the school site will be totally demolished and replaced with new state of the art facilities suitable for the 21st century.
There are 10 schools in South Tyneside and two in Gateshead in this phase of the initiative with £35m available for the Gateshead part of this major redevelopment.
Building work is expected to start in early 2009 and to be completed in early 2011. |
