This month has seen the launch of the new Heworth Grange Comprehensive, School Website. New for 2006, the heworth grange website has been fully launched both on campus and via the world wide web, meaning everything offered on our internal intranet can be easily accessed from any computer, anywhere in the world that has an internet connection.
The information superhighway has been utilised, embracing the newest, most dynamic technology at our fingertips, the aim of which is to ensure the site's information is accessible by all, for all purposes academic or otherwise.

Key features of the site include the ability to check for regularly updated news features where up to the minute articles and issues relating to the newest happenings at heworth can be found
About Us Section:
Find out key general information about the history, background, mission and goals we have at heworth as well as an overview of the policies and guidelines we have in place from day to day.

Information Repository Section:
Search for specific details relating to the school, including prospectuses, information about |
| courses offered, school standards and the like. |

Calendar Section:
Check details of term dates, start times, timetable information, exam schedules and other important calendar details. Useful for staff, students and parents/guardians.

Events Section:
Find out key event details, along with reviews of past events often including the appropriate multimedia footage of the event by means of photographs and video streams, making use of the latest digital technology.
Academic Departments Section:
The department section of the site aims to provide staff with a means of showcasing their departments, as well as uploading messages to classes, homework tasks, assignments, revision aids and the like.
Contact us section:
As well as this, the school's contact details, map information and various means of interacting with the school are available by means of a small number of clicks.
On-campus only facilities:
Whilst accessing the site from within the heworth campus, you will notice, personal e-mail facilities can be found via the lower section of the site's left hand navigation menu bar, as well as this, a "useful links" section can be found providing easy to find shortcuts to helpful websites and search engines.
Along with these, is a separate staff (only) utilities option, where the school attendance system, ICT support helpdesk and the like, can be easily accessed.
N.B: All existing usernames and passwords will not be affected for these facilities. |
