Pupils' outstanding GCSE scores (national high
achievers
2006)
Heworth's Bright Sparks:
Four star-pupils from Heworth Grange, achieved something incredible this year.
They managed to attain what most people can only
imagine possible when receiving their summer 2006
GCSE results. Their hard work and concentration
in lessons finally paid off, in a mammoth style!
All four of these pupils scored either marks within
the top ten or even top five highest scores in the
entire country in their relative subject areas.
Dean Allsopp, Nathan Curry and Lija Broka were
amongst the small group of candidates throughout
the nation, who scored the highest five marks
in the UK for their Maths GCSEs.
These pupils each scored top 5 results out of a massive 116497 pupils who took their Maths GCSE this year.
Each pupil received a personalised letter of congratulations from the AQA exam board and were delighted and overjoyed with this result.
The head teacher (B.H. Huddart) was obviously thrilled with this news and can be seen in the picture (right), presenting the pupils with their results.
